Wasserfest [Water Festival], 1999–2002

Self-portraits under water, without make-up or clothes. Face and body become blurred, expression and posture are distorted by the movement generated in the water. An enraptured perspective on the self-portrait. Artist and viewer separated by a basic element. The sense of optically broken perception is mutual.
